    A Funabashi ramen shop on the Chiba-kaido road, open since 1975 and devoted to one style: a piping-hot shoyu chuka soba with a strong niboshi (dried sardine) aroma. The menu is short and the bowls are honest and affordable, which keeps a steady line of regulars moving through.
