    A Hawaiian-themed ramen shop in Ikebukuro's 2-chome, open since January 2012, run by a former backpacker who fell for Hawaii as a teenager. The bright, café-like room serves clean soy and salt 'SOBA' and creamy chicken paitan, with rotating special days for tsukemen, abura soba and tomato ramen.

Check the day before you go: Fridays are tsukemen only, and some Mondays and the 1st of the month have special menus. 11 seats (5 counter, 2 tables), non-smoking, kids welcome, cash only.
