Best for
Founded by Chen Kenmin, the culinary master who created Japan's soup-based tantanmen, Akasaka Sichuan Hanten occupies the 5th and 6th floors of Zenkoku Ryokan Kaikan two minutes from Nagatacho Station Exit 4. The historic soup blends clear chicken broth with stone-ground white sesame paste, roasted Sichuan chili oil, and aged black vinegar. Springy noodles bathe in the aromatic, mildly piquant broth topped with seasoned ground pork and baby bok choy.
