Ramen Yamaokaya brings back its rich white miso tonkotsu ramen from 1 October 2026 (no end date announced) at ¥950 (tax included), a returning autumn favourite at the national pork-bone ramen chain.

    The bowl

The limited-edition ramen pairs white miso with Yamaokaya's signature pork-bone broth for a creamy, mellow soup. Thick medium noodles match the rich base, and the topping includes crunchy kikurage (wood ear mushroom) tsukudani for texture contrast.

Yamaokaya describes the bowl as having a smooth, full-bodied miso character that balances the tonkotsu depth without overwhelming it.

    Yamaokaya

Yamaokaya runs over 170 shops across Japan serving tonkotsu ramen in the Hokkaido style — rich, garlicky pork-bone broth with thick noodles. The chain is known for bold, punchy flavours and late-night service.

The white miso tonkotsu ramen has appeared in past autumn seasons and is a returning menu item rather than a debut.
